The analysis is performed with a resistograph (the method based on the torque detection at wood drilling), which shows how much of the wooden element is still useful, to what extend is element rotten and how much of wooden element must be removed in order to ensure the appropriate quality of wood. The Department of Wood Science and Technology continues to determine the mechanical properties, biological resistance and resistance of old wood against moistening.
